REGARDE!
FlashForward 2005 Time and Location Confirmed

Dec 3, 2004 — filed under: Talks/ Appearances

Time and location have been confirmed for Chris Harding and Tim Stout's presentation at FlashForward 2005. Please come on by if you happen to find yourself at the conference. It should be fun, in a painfully awkward sort of way. Chris Harding is, shall we say "uncomfortable" with public speaking.

Also, Matthew Carter, creator of (among many other things) the font Helvetica will be at the conference! One of our favorite fonts (we are also big fans of Futura) Also, Lawrence Lessig will be speaking. He's got a lot of interesting stuff to say about intelectual property, etc.

Here's the schedule:

Topic:
Chris Harding and Tim Stout will speak (on behalf of a very large greeting card corporation) on the topic of "Storytelling for Fun and Profit"

Time/location:
Friday, April 8th at 10:15 AM in the Seminar Room at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco

FlashForward 2005

Oct 29, 2004 — filed under: Talks/ Appearances

Chris Harding will be speaking (replacing the genius Mike Adair, who spoke last year) at the Flash Forward 2005 conference in San Francisco next April with his friend and co-worker, Tim Stout.

Chris and Tim will give a presentation on behalf of a very large greeting card corporation called "Storytelling for Fun and Profit," even though neither of them has ever actually managed to make a profit telling stories.

Details about time, date, location, amenities, how to book hookers, etc. should be available early next year. Come on by if you're at the conference! The Flash Forward Web site will have more information about schedules and registration as plans unfold.

Photos from Comic Con Screening

Comic Con Logo

The ComiCon screening of He's A Good Monkey went very well. For an 11:30 AM screening in a tiny, out-of-the-way room, we had a pretty decent crowd. The film played without a hitch, and everyone laughed when they were supposed to. The Q&A afterward was also really fun and nerve-wracking. But the people were nice and had enough questions to fill up the time, which makes it a lot easier for Chris, who would not have otherwise had anything to say.

Here are some photos from the conference and the screening:

90,000 people! Dang!
Our friends at the uclick booth
A Storm Trooper walks by and nobody notices. It's just like the future!
Amy, happy and content, before the crowds got to us, and we all started killing and eating each other.
The first screening of "He's A Good Monkey" outside of Kansas City!
Chris Harding talks about art and life and love and passion and humor, even though the question was about software.
What?! Chris Harding can't hear you.
This is the line to pick up your "The Incredibles" gift pack. We gave up and went out for coffee after about 3 hours.
Awwwww… This is what we had for dinner.
